Annual Maintenance Program


We recognize the importance of providing thorough technical support for our software products.

Our annual software maintenance program helps to ensure long-term support and uninterrupted operation of your archival storage subsystem*.

Pegasus recognizes the importance of providing thorough technical support for software products and strongly recommends that all customers purchase software maintenance.

An active annual software maintenance agreement helps to ensure the long-term support and operation of critical computing environments. The absence of a annual software maintenance agreement greatly restricts access to technical assistance and new software releases. This can result in interruption of normal system operation and extended down time.

Software maintenance begins immediately upon purchase of the software and the annual software maintenance program and continues for a period of 12 months, at which time annual maintenance should be renewed. For those customers waiving the annual maintenance program, Pegasus will provide a grace period to purchase software maintenance equal to the warranty period of 90 days. After the 90-day grace period, additional fees may be imposed to enroll in the annual maintenance program.

Pegasus has a tiered base maintenance system.

  The v4 annual maintenance program:


Tier-One:

This level includes all items listed below, but does not include free major release upgrades. Major release upgrades may be obtained by upgrading to Tier-Two support. The renewal price for Tier-One support is approximately 10% of the current list price of your specific model number (minimum $99/yr.)

  •  Telephone technical support: System configuration assistance
         and problem resolution


  •  Significant discounts on major new releases


  •  Fixes and special software patches


  •   Documentation and release note updates


  •   Industry news bulletins


  •  Free same version product updates (example: v3.30.00 => v3.43.00)


  • Tier-Two:

    This level includes all items listed in the tier one program and also includes the items listed to the right. The renewal price for Tier-Two support is approximately 20% of the current list price of your specific model number (minimum $139/yr.)

  •   Includes new device support - Device support subject to Pegasus certification


  •   Includes major same product (OS) upgrades


  •   25% discount on billable engineering services, such as disk recovery.


  •   Users of 3.x can upgrade to the new v4.2 product for the price of the new
          Tier-Two annual maintenance 4.2 version price.



  •   The v3 annual maintenance program:



    v3 annual maintenance includes all items listed below, but does not include free major release upgrades. An upgrade to v4 may be purchased for the cost of the renewal price of Tier-Two support for your specific model number (minimum $139). The renewal price for v3 support is approximately 15% of the current list price of your specific model number (minimum $99/yr.)

  •  Telephone technical support: System configuration assistance
         and problem resolution


  •  Significant discounts on major new releases


  •  Fixes and special software patches


  •   Documentation and release note updates


  •   Industry news bulletins


  •  Free same version product updates (No new updates are available for v3)

    How to Order Annual Maintenance

    Pegasus Annual Maintenance is ordered via individual model numbers (see InveStore product list) and is required with the initial software purchase. Contact your Pegasus supplier for pricing and ordering information. If you purchased your software directly from Pegasus, contact us regarding enrollment.

    Annual maintenance renewal can be completed through your Pegasus software supplier or with Pegasus directly. Click here for details.


    IMPORTANT NOTE:
    Pegasus does not sell optical hardware and does not provide hardware maintenance services. Pegasus does offer assistance to resolving these types of issues as it relates to our software. However it is the responsibility of the end user to resolve hardware problems with the manufacturer.

    *When purchasing annual maintenance, users must register the license(s), providing company name and contact information. Maintenance coverage from one license cannot be used to request support for other Pegasus software licenses. Annual maintenance enrollment must be purchased within the initial 30-day warranty period. After 30-days, additional fees apply to enrollment.
