System RAM and Pagefile Settings
System Memory
Standalone system requirements are a function of the performance desired. Virtual memory swapping will substantially diminish performance. Performance will improve with the addition of more memory. Also note that additional RAM is required as the number of users increases.
RAM = Performance
Insufficient RAM = Insufficient Performance
Adding the maximizing amount of RAM that your server’s motherboard can have, will have the greatest impact on server system performance.
RAM Requirements

Pagefile
Pegasus recommends that the Windows Operating System Pagefile size be set using the following formula:
2 x Installed RAM
Example: System using the recommended 2048 MB RAM. The Windows Pagefile size should be at least:
2 x 2048 = 4096 MB
For improved performance, set the minimum and maximum page file values to 4096 MB. This will help prevent Pagefile fragmentation.
