No disk cartridge was found in the drive.

This is an internal error. Please report this to Pegasus following the procedure speci fied in Appendix B, "Troubleshooting."

0x0024

The export slot already contains a cartridge. No other cartridges can be exported.

You must remove the disk in the export slot before attempting to unmount another cartridge.

0x0025

Import slot is empty.

You cannot mount the cartridge since it does not exist. You must place a cartridge in the library import slot before it can be mounted.

0x0026

Library con tainer is full.

You cannot import any other cartridges. You will have to unmount a cartridge before you can import another disk.

0x0027

Unable to find any supported SCSI host adapt ers.

You have either improperly installed the adapter device drivers or you are attempt ing to use an adapter that is not supported by Pegasus. This is a configuration issue that you must resolve.

0x0028

Unable to find any support opti cal drives.

An attempt was made to operate Pegasus software using unsupported hardware. This can indicate that you are attempting to access hardware with the improper Pegasus software model number.

0x0029

Attempt to import a dupli cate disk vol ume.

User error. This operation is illegal.

0x002A

Error trying to obtain element status from juke box

The error will be recorded in the log file. Call your drive manufacturer and provide the error codes that have been logged in the log file. Could be a hardware problem.

0x002B

The library storage slot is empty.

A request was made to get a disk from an empty storage slot. Generally indicates someone manually removed disks from the library. This operation cannot be supported by Pegasus. DO NOT TOUCH OR REARRANGE CARTRIDGES WHILE THE PEGASUS SOFTWARE IS ACTIVE.

Storage slot is full.

An attempt was made to store a disk in a slot that was already occupied. Generally indicates someone manually added a disk to the library. This operation cannot be supported by Pegasus. DO NOT TOUCH OR REARRANGE CARTRIDGES WHILE THE PEGASUS SOFTWARE IS ACTIVE

0x002E

SCSI device is busy.

An attempt was made to send a command to a SCSI device. The device was unable to process the command because it was already busy processing a command. Retry the command.

0x002F

A hardware error was encountered while accessing a SCSI device

The error will be recorded in the log file. Call your drive manufacturer and provide the error codes that have been logged in the log file. Pegasus cannot solve hard ware problems.

0x0030

SCSI device was not ready.

A command was issued to a device which could not accept it because it was not in a state of readiness. If the system is operat ing normally, this error can be ignored because it is informational only. If the system is not operational it should be ser viced by an experienced technician.

0x0031

General Media error.

A media error was encountered while attempting to read or write a sector. The error will be recorded in the log file. Call your drive manufacturer and provide the error codes that have been logged in the log file.

0x0032

Unit attention error.

The device could not accept the command because the state of the device has changed. This often requires operator intervention to correct.

0x0033

General com mand abort error.

The SCSI command was aborted due to an unrecoverable error. retry operation. If the error persists, please have the system ser viced by an experienced technician.

0x0034

An illegal SCSI command was issued.

This generally indicates that the incorrect driver was used for a device. It can also indicate that the storage disk contains cor rupted pointers.

0x0035

Unexpected drive reset.

The drive has unexpectedly reset itself. This generally indicates faulty or improper SCSI cabling. This generally indicates there are physical problems with your hardware installation. Please have your system serviced by an experienced technician. Pegasus cannot solve this problem.

0x0037

The drive has gone off-line.

The drive is bad and should be replaced. The error will be recorded in the log file. Call your drive manufacturer and provide the error codes that have been logged in the log file. Pegasus cannot solve hard ware problems.

0x0038

A disk is in the storage drive but it is not spun up.

Generally, this error is informational only. If the disk cannot be spun up, the system should be serviced by an experienced technician.

0x0039

General SCSI bus error.

This can be caused by bad or improper cabling, host adapter fault, etc. This gen erally indicates there are physical prob lems with your hardware installation. Please have your system serviced by an experienced technician. Pegasus cannot solve this problem.

0x003A

SCSI command was aborted by the host adapter.

Retry command. If error persists, contact your SCSI card manufacturer and provide the errors that have been recorded in the log file.

0x003B

Illegal ASPI was issued by OHIM driver.

This is an internal error. Please report this to Pegasus following the procedure speci fied in Appendix B, "Troubleshooting."

0x003C

Invalid SCSI host adapter ID was sent.

Either the OHIM driver is in error or the adapter card is incorrectly configured. Please have an experienced technician validate the settings of your SCSI card.

0x003D

ASPI device selection time out. The target SCSI device did not respond dur ing the device selection phase.

This generally indicates there are physical problems with your hardware installation. Please have your system serviced by an experienced technician.

0x003E

DMA overrun or underrun. More or less data was received during a data transfer than expected.

This is an internal error. Please report this to Pegasus following the procedure speci fied in Appendix B, "Troubleshooting." Shut down the system and restart.

0x003F

General ASPI SCSI bus error. The host adapter detected a gen eral bus error.

Contact your SCSI card manufacturer and provide the errors that have been logged in the log file.

0x0040

The library specified is off- line and requires attention.

Have the library serviced. The Pegasus software storage system hardware cannot correct this error.

0x0042

General device time out. Device will not respond.

This indicates a hardware problem.

Have your system serviced. The Pegasus software storage system cannot correct this error.

0x0043

Library access door is open.

Information error reporting only. Do not report this error to Pegasus.

0x0044

Seek error occurred.

This is a hardware error. The error will be recorded in the log file. Call your drive manufacturer and provide the error codes that have been logged in the log file. Pegasus cannot solve hardware problems.

0x0045

Unrecoverable write error occurred on disk.

This is a hardware error. The error will be recorded in the log file. Call your drive manufacturer and provide the error codes that have been logged in the log file. Pegasus cannot solve hardware problems.

0x0046

Unrecoverable read error. This is a hardware error.

The error will be recorded in the log file. Call your drive manufacturer and provide the error codes that have been logged in the log file. Pegasus cannot solve hard ware problems.

0x0047

Illegal sector address speci fied in SCSI command.

This is an internal error. Please report this to Pegasus following the procedure speci fied in Appendix B, "Troubleshooting." Shut down the system and restart.

0x0048

Illegal field in SCSI command.

This is an internal error. Please report this to Pegasus following the procedure speci fied in Appendix B, "Troubleshooting." Shut down the system and restart.

0x0049

Illegal LUN specified in SCSI command.

This is an internal error. Please report this to Pegasus following the procedure speci fied in Appendix B, "Troubleshooting." Shut down the system and restart.

0x004a

Illegal parame ter specified in SCSI command.

This is an internal error. Please report this to Pegasus following the procedure speci fied in Appendix B, "Troubleshooting." Shut down the system and restart.

0x004b

Media is write protected. Can not write to media.

If you want to write to the media, you will need to unmount disk, set protect switch to allow writes and then remount disk.

0x004c

An attempt was made to read a virgin sector.

Generally, this occurs during a mount if the directory area has been damaged. Check the log file for media errors. If they exist, call your media/drive manufacturer with the logged SCSI error codes.

0x004d

An attempt was made to write to a non-virgin sec tor.

The disk contains unexpected written sec tors.

0x004e

Invalid media found in drive.

The media is not supported by the hard ware. Remove disks. Do not report this error to Pegasus.

0x004f

Media format corrupted.

The disk must be formatted or reformatted by Pegasus. A disk cannot be used until it is formatted.

0x0050

No alternate sec tors left.

Pegasus will perform its own alternation if possible. The error will be recorded in the log file.

Call your media/drive manufacturer and provide the error codes that have been logged in the log file. This indicates severe disk errors.

0x0051

Fatal ECC error.

Call your media/drive manufacturer and provide the error codes that have been logged in the log file. This indicates severe disk errors.

0x0052

Could not load/unload media.

This is a hardware error. The error will be recorded in the log file.

Call your media/drive manufacturer and provide the error codes that have been logged in the log file. Pegasus cannot solve hardware errors.

0x0053

Sector did not verify. Data will be rewritten.

This is an informational error. If a large number of these errors occurs, there is a problem with your system. Either the media or the drive has problems. The error will be recorded in the log file.

Call your media/drive manufacturer and provide the error codes that have been logged in the log file.

0x0054

Error creating semaphore for OHIM.

This is an internal error. Please report this to Pegasus following the procedure speci fied in Appendix B, "Troubleshooting." Shut down the system and restart.

This indicates that the Windows virtual memory manager is failing. You are probably run ning the Pegasus software on the same drive which is used by the swapper. This cannot be supported.

Reconfigure the system to allow Pegasus to run on a different drive or partition. Make sure there is sufficient free disk space for the swap file.

0x0058

Could not create mail thread.

This is an internal error. Please report this to Pegasus following the procedure speci fied in Appendix B, "Troubleshooting." Shut down the system and restart.

0x0059

You have incor rectly config ured the ASPI driver in the Registry.

An ASPI driver is missing. Call your adapter company, or Microsoft for sup port.

0x005c

The OHIM mod ules have not been initialized.

You must initialize the system and allow it to finish initialization before attempting to access it.

0x005d

Unknown, undocumented error has occurred.

A device error occurred, however the error processor could not find the sense data, so did not report it. Follow "Troubleshooting" in Appendix B.

Error occurred during IOCTL call to low-level driver.

This is an internal error. Please report this to Pegasus following the procedure speci fied in Appendix B, "Troubleshooting." Shut down the system and restart.

Media changed.

The drive is indicating a unit attention error that cannot be corrected. Call your drive manufacturer for service.

Media unusable.

A piece of media that is not hardware compatible has been inserted into the drive or library. Remove the disk. Do not report this error to Pegasus.

0x0065

DLL load fail ure.

The appropriate driver DLL is missing. Check the LIBPATH statement. Reinstall the software.

0x0068

OHIM error.

The OHIM received an error while send ing a SCSI command but was able to cor rect the error. Make sure your hardware is in good working order.

0x0069

Format failure.

The format command failed while format ting a disk. Replace the disk or have the drive serviced.
