Media Backward Compatibility

Pegasus formatted media has forward compatibility as follows:

It is not possible to format a disk under v4.xx.xx or newer, and mount this same disk under previous versions of the Pegasus software.  InveStore v4.xx.xx formatted media are initialized utilizing a more efficient file system that includes long filename support.

Pegasus does not expect that customer sites will revert to former code. In most instances as you move forward to newer versions, changes are transparent.
